Regions and Partners

The APRODEV partners are mainly Non Governmental Organisations that plan and implement projects in the field of emergency, humanitarian aid and development in close coordination with the APRODEV agencies based in the EU current member states (EU-15) and in some of the new Member States. The partners work in close contact with the local communities and develop policy and advocacy to the national governments.

Balkans
Albania - DIAKONIA AGAPES
Diakonia Agapes was born in 1992 as a social and development NGO within the Archdiocese of the Orthodox Autocephalous Church of Albania. Diakonia Agapes implement projects in the field of: rural development, health and education, social care, relief aid.
Albania – Ferilasse
Ferilasse is a project of the Useful To Albanian Woman (UAW), headquartered in the capital Tirana and operating in several cities nationwide. The Albanian Women's Center is focusing on several crucial needs of the the most vulnerable social groups like refugees and women, most beyond the immediate survival issues being addressed by UAW.
Croatia - WCC ECUMENICAL WOMEN SOLIDARITY FUND (EWSF)
The EWSF is a fund to be used by women for women in the countries of Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, FZR of Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro. It seeks to restore and promote human rights as well as to rebuild the lives and empower those women and children, regardless of ethnicity, religion or background, whose lives have been affected by war and its consequences. Since 1993, the ESWF has supported over 300 projects in the above mentioned countries with (direct and indirect) beneficiaries numbering over 80.000. Women from all ethnic groups have been included in a wide range of self-help projects ranging from income generation and skills training to health programs and counseling.
Macedonia – Macedonian Center for International Cooperation
Macedonian Center for International Cooperation is a non-governmental and non-profitable organisation, which is active in the field of development, rehabilitation and humanitarian assistance in Macedonia. MCIC was founded in 1993. MCIC's objective is development of human resources in Macedonia. On long term, MCIC inclines to peace promotion, further development of civic society and aid to groups in need.
Serbia and Montenegro – EHO
EHO is a non-governmental relief organization which was created in 1993 and works with a particular focus on the Vojvodina region. The phasing out of the material aid distribution projects will allow EHO to concentrate on the following areas of action: empowering the churches and local partners to perform their social responsibilities; building the capacity of local organizations through training and small grants, and initiating pilot projects to promote awareness and support for the poor and marginalized.
Central Europe (new EU Member States)
Bulgaria – Pokrov Foundation
The Pokrov foundation has so far been successful in implementing several small projects, related to development (oriented mainly to Roma), using participatory approaches in the planning and implementation process, including a gender-sensitive approach and seeking sustainability.
Poland - ELEOS, Prawoslawny Osrodek Milosierdzia
The Orthodox Charity Centre was established in 1996. In order to promote an efficient operation of the centre an office was created. The office implement projects related to humanitarian assistance to the most vulnerable categories of people such as women, children, elderly.
Romania – AidRom
AIDRom started operating in 1991 as an ecumenical platform of dialogue and inter-church aid, in 1993 the platform became an NGO and opened up to other NGOs. AIDRom implement its projects within the framework of three main departments that are Ecumenical Formation, Inter-church aid and Education for Peace and Reconciliation.
Slovakia – Round Table
The Ecumenical Council of Churches in the Slovak Republic (hereafter ECCSR) is the association of 11 Christian churches . The Council runs various programs among which the Round Table ECCSR (RT ECCSR). The RT is substantially a re-granting program focusing on promoting the revitalization of ECCSR´s member churches activities in social diacony, education, human resources development.
Eastern Europe and Central Asia
Armenia - ROUND TABLE (RT)
The APRODEV “Partners” are umbrella structures, often called Round Tables, that mainly plan and implement projects in the field of emergency, humanitarian aid and development. The Round Table was brings together Armenian Churches, NGOs and related partners with a shared commitment to work together in order to address some of the fundamental social and economic problems of the country. Armenia Round Table in cooperation with local partners implements projects in fields of Education, Agriculture & Developmenr; Capacity Building & Training.

Georgia - Lazarus
Lazarus is the Georgian Patriarchate Charitable Foundation. It was established in April 1994 as the implementing agency for humanitarian assistance, it is a non government and non-profit organization. Lazarus implements diverse activities in Tbilisi and in different areas of Georgia. The projects aim at providing assistance to the most vulnerable people such as the Internal Displaced Persons (IDPs), street children, the disabled and the elderly.
Kazakhstan - Baspana http://www.baspana.kz/?lg=2
Baspana is the first non-governmental organisation in Central Asia, which was included as the member of Asian (1998) and European (2002) coalition for habitation rights by the housing program Habitat International UN. Baspana renders financial, technical, advisory and legal support to the poor people. The activity of organisation is directed on decision of socially important questions directed on reduction of poverty and increasing living standard of needy population in the country.

The activities of the Association link with the total state programme, which is directed at reducing poverty, creating employment among the population, developing the strategy of a small business sector and propagating healthy nutrition and a healthy life style. The aim is to encourage citizen's active participation, improve social welfare, facilitate the development of gender equality and change the attitude of the society to women's conditions.
Kyrgyzstan - Development Cooperation in Central Asia DCCA http://www.dcca.elcat.kg/
DCCA has grown from the Ecumenical Liaison Office (representation of the Ecumenical Network in Central Asia) till the Resource Support Organization, which provides different services for capacity building of NGO sector in Central Asia. The main services of the DCCA are the following: training, researches, networking (among NGOs mainly). DCCA implements diaconal projects in the North of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan - Center InterBilim
InterBilim (Centre for Support and Development of Non-Governmental Organisations) in Bishkek. InterBilim is a specialised non-governmental organisation with a mission to strengthen the Third Sector through strengthening the capacity of NGOs. It was established in 1993 to offer support, training and services to NGOs working in the areas of poverty alleviation, health, environment, human rights, education, democratisation and other areas to improve society and living conditions during the transition to a market economy
Russian Federation - Christian Interchurch Diaconal Council of St. Petersburg CIDC
The CIDC’s is a non-governmental non-profit humanitarian organization providing assistance to the most vulnerable categories of population while implementing projects of capacity building and training. The CIDC’s overall goal is the empowerment of the marginalized and deprived groups of people through the development of new social services which can meet the need of today’s society while increasing the social responsibility and awareness of the population and authorities in order to build up a civic society.

Tajikistan - ASDP Nous Real Action
The Agency for Support Development Process "Nau" is non-government, non-profit, organization. Its main goal is promoting sustainable development while increasing the social-economical status of the population of Sugd oblast Republic of Tajikistan.
Ukraine - Coordination Committee of Interchurch Aid CCIA
The Coordination Committee of Interchurch Aid carries out charitable, training, advisory and development activities of the local Church-related organizations in collaboration with the international agencies. The Committee focuses its efforts in strengthening the corporative work in with the local partners and stakeholders.
Ukraine – Beregovo Foundation
The Beregovo Foundation is and NGO set by HIA and HEKS. The Foundation provides assistance to those in need regardless of gender, nationality or religion. Priorities in our aid work are solely determined by needs specified by local conditions. In our relief activities we use methods, which allow beneficiaries to participate in program implementation. Our aid programs satisfy first of all basic, elemental needs but we also support preparedness to future disasters.
